In this demonstration, we'll show you how to lead students through an inquiry-based design challenge where they'll use a defined set of materials and budget to design a spacesuit that helps to maintain the body temperature of an astronaut in the extreme heat and cold of outer space.
Using water-filled "space worms" as test subjects to mimic the water composition of an adult human body, they'll test their designs, collect data, and evaluate which suit works best given the economic constraints.
