What effects do the oceans have on global weather patterns? • Label Learning: How are waves formed? • Kinesthetics: Create a model of the earth's ocean waves in a bottle. Vocabulary: Procedure: Model Description: • Scaffolded (teacher supported) use of GoogleSlides Notes and instruction • Small groups practice to create the model and make application of the lesson. Model Steps: • Before class begins, I will prepare the supplies to make the "Ocean in a Bottle," and I will set up the slide set. As students begin to enter the classroom, I will ask them to get out their laptops and notebooks for class. I will remind students to get their bottles if they accidentally left it in their locker. • Next, students will be able to join the PearDeck slide set by typing in the code on the SmartBoard into the PearDeck website. Students will then open their INBs and get started on their notes. • After that, we will complete the lesson as a class and students will answer the exit ticket. • Last, students will spend the remaining time creating their "Ocean in a Bottle" model and relating it back to the lesson. • Class ends.
