Step-by-Step Procedure:
1. Students will walk around outside and find examples of the 4 spheres. They will write these examples on their
graphic organizer.
2. Students will also be looking for examples of how the spheres interact.
3. Students will come back to class and share what they have found with their table groups.
4. We will then share with the whole class.
5. Students will then select an interaction and illustrate the interaction on white paper. On the back they will describe
the interaction.
6. Students will then work with a partner to see if their partner can describe the interaction based on the drawing.
Expected Results:
Students will learn about how the Earth's spheres interact. This will lead to a lesson on human interaction with the spheres.
Teaching Notes:
If you are not able to go outside, students may view photos from calendars or other sources to find examples of interactions.
