5-ESS2-1: Earth's Systems. Develop a model using an example to describe ways the geosphere, biosphere, hydrosphere, and/or
atmosphere interact.
Materials:
• Paper divided into four parts.
• Clipboards
• Colored pencils
• Pencil
• Blank paper
Background Information, Activity Setup:
Review the geosphere, hydrosphere, atmosphere, and biosphere. Go over the prefixes geo, hydro, and bio. Students will go on
a nature walk to find examples of each of the spheres. They will also look for sphere interaction.
