Waves: ➢ A water wave uses repeated motion of the matter in the water to transfer mechanical energy from one place to another. ➢ In a wave, tiny suspended particles move through a repeating circular pattern. The wave energy pulls them down and backwards. This repeated pattern is called oscillation. (fetch)
