+ ward ' s science Page 2 Step-by-Step Procedure: 1. "Collect" as many items as you can from this list of terms. a. "Collect" = find an item that represents one of the numbered terms and take a digital photograph. i. Upload photos to your team leader's Canvas assignment. ii. Name photos with the number and term (example: "2-Adaptation of a Plant"). 2. On the handout, briefly explain how each photograph represents the term you chose. a. Example: If you choose "phloem", you can submit a photograph you have taken of a plant stem and explain what and where phloem is in your specimen. b. Photographs may be used for only one listed term. Do not take one photo and use it for multiple terms. c. No organism of any kind should be harmed for this scavenger hunt! 3. Original Photos Only a. Do not use an image from any publication or the Web. You must take the photograph yourself (or be present when it is taken). 4. Take a walk around (inside and out) our school, but do not leave the school premises or disrupt any student, teacher, activity, or classroom! a. Keep your voices down while inside the school. b. Only visit Freshman teachers who you know has something that represents one of the listed items. c. Pause in the doorway and ask permission before entering another teacher's classroom. d. Teachers have been notified that biology students are participating in this activity. i. Teachers who have opted out (you may not visit these classrooms): 5. You must wear your team "badge" so you are identified as participating in this activity. 6. Inappropriate behavior will drop your citizenship grade. a.
